Instructors

Stephanie Thompson – lead instructor

Steph has several years’ experience working outdoors with different groups, and set up Bushcraft Adventures in 2013 after being made redundant.

Steph enjoys learning and developing her bushcraft skills, and has achieved various qualifications. She has a particular interest in and spark (!) for fire lighting and the origins of fire lighting (ask her for a demo on the bow drill)

She is passionate and enthusiastic about passing on her skills and knowledge to others so that they can enjoy the great outdoors as much as she does – and learn some new skills along the way too.

Rachel Biggs – instructor

Rachel is a qualified Archery Instructor and trainee Bushcraft Instructor. She has several years’ experience working in large, national charities and in private sector organisations. She has specific skills, experience and qualifications in volunteer management, coaching and group facilitation.

Whatever the weather Rachel loves being outdoors, where you’ll often find her walking her dog, Daisy. A bit of a foodie, Rachel has a particular interest in campfire cooking, so guests can look forward to enjoying a tasty campfire lunch.
